Who We Are

Members who receive day care support, volunteers and staff all make the Walled Garden the place it is - an inspiration, a sanctuary, a social enterprise, a business with a family feel and where each person's contribution is needed and valued.


Team

An experienced team: Business and Development Manager, Garden Supervisor, Tea Room Co-ordinator, Tea Room support workers, skilled gardeners & tradesmen, and volunteers support those on placement to be fulfilled, to learn, to be safe and to know the value of their contribution. More Info

 

Trustees

Karen Murray
Chair to the Trustee Board. Karen has worked in the social care sector for over 30 years and began working in learning disability services in 1998. Karen has worked in supported employment, trained adults with learning disabilities to train their staff, set up a forum theatre group and managed a self-advocacy service across York and North Yorkshire. More Info

 


Members

Ripon Community Link, including Ripon Walled Garden, has over 110 members, adults with learning disabilities, who learn, work, exercise and participate in community activities and enterprise. Many choose to focus their involvement on coming regularly to Ripon Walled Garden and its horticultural enterprise.
